The Pacuare Canopy Adventure Tour
The
only Original Canopy Tour of the Pacuare zone, with characteristics
no other tour of this type offers! Located in the heart of Costa
Rica’s Atlantic region, the Pacuare Canopy Adventure begins
with a safety orientation and donning of specialized equipment.
This is followed by a twenty-minute hike into the Pacuare
Lodge’s private reserve. Spectacular views and scenery
during this unhurried assent welcome you into a world of exotic
natural splendor. Among the vine-laced trees, Costa Rica’s
unique flora and fauna flourish, providing dazzling flashes of color
and life. Upon arrival at the first platform, the lead guide reviews
with you safety guidelines, and after a demonstration, the adventure
begins. A multifaceted experience, you will partake of the exotic
beauty of the tropical rainforest feeling the adrenaline of dramatic
views, experience rappels descending from gigantic trees, and live
the excitement of sliding along cables from tree to tree as you
descend the jungle cloaked mountain toward the Pacuare Lodge for
a final thrilling rappel that leaves you just a few meters from

To be classified as a rainforest, a woodland of tall trees must have a closed canopy in which the treetops touch each other to create a shaded forest interior. Our Adventure Canopy Tour features a system of pulleys and horizontal traverse cables similar to equipment originally used by spelunkers (cavers) and canyon rappelers.
